The Rock ‘n’ Roll Art Show features a new and unique style of incorporating photos of famous musicians by the legendary rock photographer Bruce Cole and incorporating them with gorgeous abstract artwork by artists Brooke Opatowski and Jonathan Hiltz. The Rock n' Roll Art Show is the collaboration of these three artists coming together to create original work by imbedding the photographs amongst the abstract designs of the artists, reminiscent of the surreal posters of the 60’s and 70’s rock icons of the flower power generation.

Bruce Cole, best known for his work as the official photographer for the Canadian Juno Awards from 1971 until 1990, had for many years taken pictures of some of the most famous musicians in the world. Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Bryan Adams, Bob Dylan, Anne Murray, Rush and an endless list of others have found themselves on the other side of Bruce's lens. Cashbox featured Cole on the December 2010 cover for the upcoming 40th Juno Anniversary, where Cole and others contributed their works for the anniversary commemorative issue. Jonathan Hiltz, an abstract artist, whose work shows ingenuity and originality, has been painting for over ten years. Hiltz has gained a footing in the art scene and most recently participated in Nuit Blanche 2011. Hiltz has had shows at Nyood Lounge, Watusi Restaurant and now the upcoming Roundhouse Gallery in Downtown Toronto. Hiltz regularly works with his cousin, Brooke Opatowski, a professionally trained painter. Together they have ventured into this new medium, incorporating images of famous musicians and other performers within abstract paintings and designs.

The exhibit will be in Toronto on September 5, 2012 at the Steam Whistle Brewery a real experience for collectors, art and music lovers to experience this exciting new work. (Certificates of authenticity by the photographer are available).

All exhibitions are open free to the public- Monday to Thursday from 12 noon to 6 pm, Friday and Saturday from 11 am -6pm, and Sunday from 11am to 5 pm.
