Canadian country singer/songwriter Mike Trudell is hitting radio this week, asking the musical question, Do Ya Wanna ?  The new single from the multi talented Trudell, produced by Nashville based fellow Canadian, Gil Grand, has just been released to radio and is being promoted heavily in his home and native land. “I’m really happy with this record and appreciate all the talent involved in making it, from Gil Grand to all the talented musicians who played on it and the encouragement I’m getting . I’m hoping this single will introduce us to a new fan base and connect with my existing fans and supporters.” Do Ya Wanna is the lead single from the new album Trudell has due out in the near future.“I waited a long time to do this record and I’m really pleased with the end result, from the songs to the production right down to the art work.  Can’t wait for you all to hear it and for me to start promoting it.”  This album has been awhile in the planning. After testing the waters earlier on Mike took a step back and  in a great display of wisdom turned away from opportunities thrown his way to organize  a musical career with proper direction and planning. He realized he needed a team around him and a product to sell that he was proud of and could support with live performances.

A gig backing up country superstar George Caynon prompted the singer to ask Mike if he  was doing this full time. Mike said no, he was not sure if the was the life for him. “I was thinking of making EMS my life’s work because I like helping others in need. I got that from my mom who passed away at a very young age but no matter how sick she was she always had time to help someone in need.” Mike tested the waters as a solo artist and found a voice he didn’t know he had. “I always  thought of myself as a guitar player but soon found I really took to  the singing side of things and was pretty good at it too.”

And being a guitar player is part of what sets Trudell apart from the herd. There are a number of country superstars that play their own lead guitar parts, Steve Warriner, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and of course Vince Gill come to mind. “I enjoy playing guitar a lot and doing my own lead guitar parts allows me to put even more of my personality into every  song.”  Although he didn’t mention it, it also allows him to stay front and centre for most of night.

“I feel really blessed by everything that’s taken place so far in this adventure and even more excited by the possibilities that lie ahead. I have a great team behind me, my family and loved ones are 100% supportive, my business partner has “green lighted” everything I need to give myself a shot and the production, promotion and publicity group is the cream of the crop. I am super excited and can’t wait to share my music with you all.”

So look for the lead single Do Ya Wanna. It’s a radio friendly song that all involved are certain will give Mike Trudell his shot in radio markets both sides of the border making him a northern star with a southern shine.
