A former lover of George Michael fears a sex drug may have played a part in his death , it was reported last night.Escort Paul Stag claims the tragic singer was hooked on a drug known as 'Liquid G' during their nine-year relationship. The 48-year-old alleges the star used the codeword 'champagne' for when the Wham! heartthrob wanted a delivery of the drug. According to The Sun, George equated sex with drugs and struggled to separate the two, even up until his death. Paul told the newspaper he believes it is "100 per cent [George] would have had chems on Christmas Eve before his death." Paul met the singer through a gay magazine in 2004 and the pair regularly dated on and off until 2013 when he claims the star became increasingly dependent on him for drugs. He told The Sun that George "lived fast" and that he "saw a car crash coming."

Earlier this week, one of George's childhood friends also claimed drugs were behind his death . Andros Georgiou told the Victoria Derbyshire programme on Tuesday: "Hard drugs had been back in his life. "I just think he took too much of something, mixed with antidepressants and other drugs he was on - with alcohol. "I believe he had suicidal thoughts, because his mental health was all over the place. But I don't believe this was suicide," he added. "I think his heart just stopped beating." The ex-music producer, who fell out with the star in 1998, said he wanted "to get to the truth of what happened, exactly what was in his blood at the time, who gave it [the drugs] to him, why did he have it again." His theory is the latest development in a long line of twists surrounding the chart-topper's unexpected demise, which occurred on Christmas Day. Something which remains unexplained.

Makeshift Memorial for George MichaelMakeshift Memorial for George MichaelIt comes shortly after Georgiou made a public statement in social media, criticizing George's boyfriend Fadi Fawaz. “I have been trying to hold back on this tweet I saw nearly 10 days ago but the more I am reading and the more I am finding out about Fadi I just can’t keep my mouth shut any longer,” he wrote. Andros went on to allege: “No 1: he was never with Yog 24 hours a day. They never lived together. He lived in one of Yog’s houses in Regent’s Park. George Michael's lover says singer was so unhappy he became hooked on chocolate, pills and Coca-Cola“And even if they were, WHY were they not together on Christmas Eve? And why did he sleep in the car? Too many questions have come up.”
Fadi has claimed he found George dead in bed at his Oxfordshire home after spending the night sleeping in his car.He later told The Mirror: "I never saw him that night. The police know everything. That’s the most important thing.”

Fadi has been questioned by police investigating George's death but there is no suggestion he's done anything wrong. He said recently the police had been very supportive and kind towards him, claiming: "They have done what normally happens when someone dies. "They have not been accusing me, never; they have been very supportive."

The superstar singer was found dead in his bed on December 25, 2016 on Christmas Day. He was just 53. Police are awaiting the result of a toxicology report.
