ZACH is a talented Canadian singer/songwriter who we wrote about in Cashbox Canada on November 5 and it is already time for an up-date on this young sensation who is sure to take centre stage in the very near future.

ZACH is currently in pre-production for his first labeled CD Release, starting with a single release of a legendary hit song with a new spin (at the time of press the release for the title is still under wrap) which will also be included on his new CD due out by early Spring.

Hailing from Winnipeg, ZACH recently spent a whirlwind weekend in Toronto to start the development of his singing career. First stop was with renowned photographer/video producer Taffi Rosen who shot his promo shots for his website and promotion kit to accompany the new project. On hand for the shoot was Corky Laing, drummer of Mountain, Cork and West Bruce & Laing.

ZACH spent time with seasoned songwriter Don Graham to discuss new material, and to work on co-written material for his new CD. Graham will assist in the production in Montreal with Bill Hill at the helm (JB & the Playboys guitarist who also produced April Wine and orchestrated the MUCH Label which had hits with Quebec’s Michel Pagliaro and others)

Paul Saunders spent an afternoon with ZACH planning his stage show as well as artistic direction for his stage performance. Saunders, who is also featured in this week’s Cashbox, will be directing ZACH on how to create a show to balance out the vocal talent that comes so naturally to this teenage protégé.

ZACH has been signed to the Breakin’ Records label as an Indie and will be represented in MIDEM to further seek a distribution deal for Europe as well as secure international booking contacts.

ZACH will also be showcasing with CASHBOX for Canadian Music Week in Toronto, Ontario.

Not bad for a kid who is only 17. But then ZACH knows what he wants. And we want more of ZACH.
