Making Music history by putting the artist and music first…

As a kid I grew up on Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass, but had never seen them live except on television, I was really looking forward to this!

The live show, a beautiful retrospective of a wonderful life lived artistically, always leaving spaces for improvisation, kindness and more music… Musically he was outstanding; the Band was killer, Lani Hall (The Sundown Lady) one of the iconic voices of Sergio Mendes Brazil 66. Herb Alpert tells a story about an early fan letter which said thank you for transporting me around the world with your music.

Tonight with three screens that featured Herb’s art, Music video, timeless pictures, and historical clips paired with a very informal Q&A throughout the show as he shared memories, stories, answering questions screamed from the balcony.

Herb Alpert took us through his life in Music.

There was no lighting it all came from the screens using Herb’s artwork instead of traditional lighting.

I could have listened to him for hours telling musical stories and playing music, it was a great evening with Herb Alpert and Lani Hall in Hamilton at the First Ontario Concert Hall.

Herb Alpert has the biggest heart in the music business with one of the bands on the road today.
