Jazz Supergroup Pilc Moutin Hoenig Release Stunning ‘YOU Are the Song’ Album

Fri May 19, 2023

No rehearsal. No overdubs. Not even a plan.

None of that is all that unusual for seasoned jazz players. But when the acclaimed trio of Jean-Michel Pilc, François Moutin and Ari Hoenig reunited for the first time in 12 years, there was no question that the magic they distilled all those years ago was just waiting to be plucked from the air the moment they reconvened.

The result, YOU Are the Song, is their first album in 12 years. It’s out May 12 on Justin Time Records. “Instead of talking about music, we let music talk through us,” says Pilc. “Rather than playing music, we let music play us. In lieu of playing a song, we become the song and invite all of YOU to do so.”

Alternative R&B Super Producer/Artist Chin Injeti Celebrates Love In New Single “Expensive” feat. Jarrel The Young

Fri May 05, 2023

They say that loving someone romantically comes with a cost, but most of the time that cost can be worth it. When you really love your partner, you are willing to spare almost anything to make them happy. Chin Injeti embodies this feeling in his new alternative R&B single, “Expensive” feat. Jarrel The Young. Check it out on YouTube here:

Synth pop guitar grooves open the song and give it an almost trippy vibe. It channels the feel-good vibes of Grace Jones' 1987 song "Crush", which has a somewhat similar feeling of relishing the thrill of love. After Injeti's sonorous vocals sing the first verse, the song's pre-chorus kicks in and pushes the song to an exciting height.

"It's expensive
But I’m obsessive
Oh when push comes to shove
I deserve it."

London, UK’s Indie Rockers MURMAN Release “Billie Holiday” From Dazzle EP

Fri May 05, 2023

Bursting on the fringe of indie rock comes London, UK’s MURMAN and their latest EP, Dazzle . And just as it says, the collection of tracks will do exactly that - dazzle you.

The MURMAN four piece boasts David Murdoch, Domenico Corapi, Felix Paillette, and Arion Petrovski. And together, the singer/songwriters take a swig from synth rock giants Joy Division and The Cure, mixed in a cocktail of Foster the People and Arcade Fire. The result is a contemporary throwback to when the melodies and the lyrics worked in tandem to catch and hold the listener. And MURMAN throw just enough nods to pop culture that the soundscape is a 360° experience.

The band members came together through a GumTree ad and continue to make waves on London’s music scene. From Murdoch’s Zorro-esque mask and tassel-adorned shirt, MURMAN’s attention to detail starts in the chords and works its way to their showmanship. To date, the group consistently sells out shows in some of the most legendary venues of the capital.

Fri Apr 28, 2023

James Gray brings us heartfelt stories and tales for a new dawn with his single 'Sleepless' from his new album 'New Friends That Talk Like Old Friends' released late last year.

James is a traveling folk singer that spends half his years living in his cabin in Muskoka, Ontario, in peaceful nature, composing music and allowing himself to breathe. The other half of his life takes him worldwide, including tours of Canada, Europe, and Australia, with more countries and continents on his roster. His natural fingerstyle guitar work and haunting vocals bring visions and sounds of The Band, Townes Van Zandt, and Bonnie "Prince" Billy, with a healthy dose of folk, Americana, and alt-country all being the foundations of his song-crafting style. There is a sad and honest sound that James brings us with his particular sound, and with this album, it’s easily recognized.
