The Toronto-based, globally active music industry company has opened a new division of the diversified group and will be headed up by Jo-Anne Beharrell as Executive Director, a title she is currently holding for the Ontario-based offices.
Entertainment Music Group (EMG) has a history of over 14 years connecting with global partners when it originally launched at MIDEM in 2007, with the mandate of working with Canadian and International artists to further collaborate companies with the belief that music has no borders.
With the new expansion, Entertainment Music Group (EMG) will continue to focus on artist direction and create strategies on a short term basis but will now be launching different initiatives that will include special event creation and production, promotional and branding campaigns, import/export opportunities, grant writing as well as access to global experts who will be available for advice and consultation.
“I am excited to announce that after being a part of the Toronto Headquarters of Entertainment Music Group (EMG) for nearly two years we will be opening an office in my home province of British Columbia,” comments Jo-Anne Beharrell, Executive Director, ”I thoroughly enjoyed working in Europe and have realized the opportunities we have for Canadians in those countries as well as invite global talent to visit Canada for a chance to experience what we have to offer as well.”
“I am really excited to expand with the addition of Jo-Anne Beharrell, who has been with Entertainment Music Group (EMG) for just under two years now and has created more opportunities for our growth as well as our clients. Jo-Anne, in that short period of time, assisted in our attendance at MIDEM 2019, where we showcased 8 acts, Live at Heart Sweden 2019 where she oversaw the showcase appearances and logistics for 5 acts, as well as Indie Week 2019, where two of our artists scored nominations, Bara Jonson and Free for Emerging International Artist of the Year (Sweden) and Emerging Artist of the Year the Marshall Potts Band (Canada)”, says Sandy Graham, founder and CEO. “With our headquarters located in Eastern Canada, being able to have a full production office on the West Coast (British Columbia) is a perfect way to grow our business and expand on a national level. We will have many more announcements soon and we are excited to reveal those as they develop.”
