Following up their smash, “Right Now”, D2UR are turning up the volume on their newest single. “Live Again” features Diane Isbister’s powerhouse vocals, mingled with husband Mike’s rock riffs. The track is an open highway fist pump - the unleashing of a former life and heading out to find a new one.

“Diane, who had found some of my old lyrics, conjured up this song,” explains Mike, adding: “The foundations for the song were strummed on her acoustic guitar, and then the parts were performed and recorded by myself and Diane in our demo studio using our editing software.” John Colborn and David Sikorski would round out the track before it headed into production.

The Rock group D2UR (pronounced Detour) is following up their critically acclaimed 2020 single “Slippin’ Away” with a continuation tune, “Right Now.” Married duo Diane and Mike Isbister lead the group with vocals and guitar. Check out “Slippin’ Away” here on YouTube here:

“During 2020, when the pandemic was at its peak, we hunkered down to write new songs. At the time, we latched onto a song now entitled “Slippin’ Away,” written about the pandemic and our way of life changing before our eyes,” D2UR said. “Right Now” is a post-pandemic song seeking the truth behind what happened and what caused the pandemic. We all search for answers and places to find them. Maybe one day we will find out.”

“Right Now
Look what is happening, Right Now
Do you hear me? Right Now
Right now
Can you help us?
Right Now….Right Now…..”

Empty Streets & Collective Concern Inspired Winnipeg Rockers D2UR’s New Single, “Slippin’ Away”

Fri Nov 27, 2020

Inspired by Winnipeg’s empty streets and the nation’s collective concern for COVID-19, Canadian modern rock outfit D2UR channeled their straight-to-the-point songwriting into this, their newest single “Slippin’ Away”.

Check out “Slippin’ Away” on YouTube here:

Co-fronts Diane Isbister and Mike Isbister — plus Dave Sikorski-Thorn, John Colburn, and Stephen Broadhurst — continue to bring their signature rhythms to the forefront in the riff-filled rock piece and serve “Slippin’ Away” as the latest in their library of recently released tracks.

“Upon returning from a well-deserved break in Palm Springs in March, COVID-19 hit Canada hard and restrictions were put in place,” Diane recalls. “Self-isolation for two busy people was going to be a challenge if we didn’t find ways to entertain ourselves!”
