Toronto’s own The Kewpie Dolls are proud to announce the release of their debut recordings. Featuring the songs “Bad Boy Mine” and “Private Party”, this high-energy showcase of their signature 1960s-inspired garage-punk sound is available on 7” 45rpm vinyl through Ugly Pop Records. Both tracks were recorded and mixed by Paddy Burn.

“Bad Boy Mine” is a fierce, foot-stomping anthem highlighting the band’s raw edge and playful charm. Packed with driving rhythms and infectious hooks, this original track—written by guitarist Sara Wigglesworth in collaboration with Murry Robe—leaves a lasting impression long after the needle lifts. On the flip side, The Kewpie Dolls reimagine “Private Party”, originally released by The Nightingales in 1962. Their version brings a playful, late-night energy, with vocals that evoke secrets, laughter, and a hint of mischief.

The Kewpie Dolls give a special thanks go to Paddy, Murry, Ter, Ugly Pop Records and everyone involved in bringing this project to life. The Kewpie Dolls are thrilled to release this record as a testament to their love of garage punk and their commitment to keeping the rebellious spirit of rock ‘n roll alive.
