Mobius Radio, the genre-bending duo known for their electrifying blend of Metal, Alternative, Prog, and Electronic music under a Rock n Roll banner, is thrilled to announce the release of their eagerly awaited debut full-length album, "Mobius Radio." The album drops on August 7th, 2023, delivering a compelling narrative that unfolds atop an enigmatic radio station nestled high on a mountain, broadcasting its sounds through the FM waves.
Years in the making from Producer and frontman Dylan Hennessy, "Mobius Radio" captures the essence of the band's signature live performances, infusing each track with raw energy and an innovative soundscape. With cerebral Rock anthems to chill atmospheric alternative cuts and daring, expansive epics, the album is a rich and diverse musical journey that defies the conventions of radio.
Notably, the album showcases Mobius Radio's collaboration with Canadian radio icon Jeff Woods, famed for his role as the voice of Q107's Legends of Classic Rock. Woods lends his voice to the role of the “on-air DJ”, guiding listeners through the sonic landscapes of "Mobius Radio."
Dylan describes how Mobius Radio came to be. “With our band’s debut show canceled due to the pandemic, we were left in band purgatory. The nice thing about that was it gave me time to begin producing demos of all of our songs. Last year, the skeleton of the album began to emerge, and I realized that I could tie all these songs together with a radio station narrative. So I reached out to Jeff Woods to request his support on the project. Once Jeff was on board, it was all hands on deck to turn these demos into a full length record. Which brings us to the August 7th release of a self-produced record that I’m extremely proud of.”
Mobius Radio invites music enthusiasts to join them in celebrating an unforgettable album launch event at Toronto's iconic Horseshoe Tavern on August 16th. The event will be hosted by none other than Jeff Woods himself, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the festivities. Joining the celebration are Ontario Rock outfit Drop Top Alibi, and Canadian violin virtuoso Dr. Draw, who also makes appearances on the album.
"Mobius Radio" is not just an album; it's an immersive experience that pushes the boundaries of conventional Rock music, with captivating song writing, atmospheric interludes, and a seamless fusion of genres. Mobius Radio invites listeners to embark on a sonic odyssey like no other.
