Tom Jackson is a true Renaissance man, known for his multifaceted career as a singer-songwriter, actor, and dedicated activist. However, it's his extraordinary philanthropic efforts that have left an indelible mark on the world. Since the 1980s, Jackson has tirelessly worked to make the world a better place, raising an astonishing estimated $250 million in cash and in-kind donations for food banks and disaster relief efforts. He has become a symbol of hope and generosity, using his talent and platform to effect change on a grand scale.
Now, Tom Jackson is set to continue his remarkable journey with an upcoming event that promises to be both heartwarming and impactful. On November 28, 2023, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm, Jackson will take the stage at the iconic Rebecca Cohn Auditorium. The event, titled "The Huron Carole – Angels Without Wings," is not only a night of music but a call to action. What sets this event apart is its inclusivity - with streaming access available following the live performance, Jackson ensures that people from all corners of the world can come together in support of a common cause.
Produced by the non-profit Christmas & Winter Relief Association Inc., this event's primary goal is to raise funds and awareness for the Canadian Red Cross’ Emergency Management Fund. This initiative reflects Jackson's unwavering commitment to disaster relief and his belief in the power of collective action. "The Huron Carole – Angels Without Wings" is not just a concert; it's a beacon of hope, a testament to the boundless compassion of one man, and a rallying cry for change. Tom Jackson's legacy as a humanitarian, artist, and activist continues to shine brightly, inspiring us all to be angels without wings in the service of those in need.
Producing The Huron Carole – Angels Without Wings - live at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium with streaming access following, comes full circle from our first 1997 CBC-TV production at the same location. Along with the posterity, the show demonstrates our love for community, music, and action raising money for the Canadian Red Cross and their emergency management fund. The perfect storm of love!
