Canadian Smooth Jazz R&B Artist Releases New Cover of Disco Smash Hit – “Rockin’ Chair”

A great story of how an artist takes their career, talent and amazing voice to reinvent themselves in the current market and JC Sol has done just that.

Canadian-born JC Sol is a multi-talented singer/songwriter and performer, whose passion and love of R&B and the classic Philly sound has raised her profile in the world of independent artists. JC delivers a smooth and sensual vocal offering that has found a way of capturing the soulful grooves of that special retro sound while creating current and refreshing productions.

Not new to the music scene, JC Sol is a legacy artist who has toured for many years as a lead singer, providing entertainment on a global level. Today, JC’s special brand of song-writing and production has garnered a fan-based popularity from R & B and Adult Contemporary music enthusiasts all over the world.

In 2023, JC Sol came back on to the single release scene, with a love song “Callin’ Out” that would tear at anyone’s heartstrings. With great success, the single was embraced by the Smooth Jazz enthusiasts which led to the decision to re-release “Our Groove” with a new re-mix. Her original release of “Our Groove” in March of 2022 was met with gratifying success, earning global acclaim by North American and European R & B/Smooth Jazz Radio Stations and Curators alike. “Our Groove” also received the honour of being among the top ten finalists in the prestigious “World Songwriting Awards” for Best R & B Song of 2022. Influenced by the original track’s success, a dance Remix of “Our Groove” continued to build momentum, followed by the horn inspired “Best of Things”, and heart wrenching “Unrequited Love”.

Then came the smash it duet “Callin’ Out” with fellow vocalist Jason Simmons. “I had always wanted to do a duet with someone and I wrote this song with a ‘call and answer format’ that worked out beautiful with Jason.” The single release met with critical acclaim, with a love song that would tear at anyone’s heartstrings.

The release of “Our Groove” and its social media reactions also caught the eyes and ears of Dance Plant Records out of Montreal which garnered a label distribution with the Canadian boutique label that promotes globally.
