Gracie Jet Point of View

The chords to "Jolene" had vanished.

Gracie Jet had known Dolly Parton's classic since she was a kid. But sitting outside her parents' cottage on the Bruce Peninsula, guitar in hand, her mind went completely blank. That moment sent her inside to a piano, and out came "Point of View," the raw, beautiful and ultimately hopeful new single from the Owen Sound folk rocker.

It's the emotional heart of her debut album, 'Smile,' out now.

Kevin Westphal The Food Inflation Blues

Kevin Westphal, also known in musical circles as The Canuck, is back doing what he does best with his new single. Kevin has a knack for taking things we all think about and turning them into relatable songs to make us laugh and think at the same time.

The Kitchener, Ontario singer-songwriter has released "The Food Inflation Blues," a country comedy track born out of a conversation that stuck with him longer than he expected. While waiting in the checkout line, Westphal asked a store manager why prices kept climbing, and later that same night watched the news report record grocery store profits. "I picked up my guitar and 'The Food Inflation Blues' just came out," he says.

Singer-Songwriter Micah Sheveloff Shares New Smooth Single “Someone There For Me,” Co-Written by Gary Cherone

Mon Oct 12 2026
Micah Sheveloff Someone There For Me

Micah Sheveloff has released "Someone There For Me," the first single from his upcoming album 'Don't You Wonder,' due January 15, 2027.

The song traces back to a friendship that began around 1984, when Sheveloff and Extreme frontman Gary Cherone played together in Boston. The two stayed connected over the following decades, and in the fall of 2024, Cherone called Sheveloff with an idea: an American Songbook style track that swings, one he had carried around as a demo for years and wanted to finally record. The plan was to cut it together with jazz musicians Sheveloff had worked with in the past, but touring behind Extreme's album 'SIX' pushed the session back. In the meantime, Sheveloff fell in love with the song and built his own arrangement around it, one Cherone loved as much as the original.
