On the heels of the success of “Our Groove”, Singer Songwriter JC Sol has released a follow-up single that continues to showcase her uniquely sensuous musical offerings, this time with a beautiful duet, a ‘call and answer’ song “Callin’ Out”, with the beautifully matched vocal answers by Jason Simmons.

“While considering a male vocalist with whom to collaborate for Callin' Out, I was looking for a couple of things. First, a soulful performance that could effectively add an authentic R & B aura to the tune and secondly, someone skilled in delivering euphonic and layered harmonies to the mix. Luckily, I found both of these things and more when working with this amazingly skilled Artist”

The inspiration for “Callin’ Out” came from decades of JC Sol’s deep affection for duet love ballads. From Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell to Canada’s own Dan Hill and American Songstress Vonda Shepard, the chemistry that occurs between two diverse voices is something that captures hearts in a very special way. The intimate and bittersweet pleasure of loss of love is highly relatable to us all and this song is no different. The stunning Eddie Bullen arrangement and co-production with Michael Shotton, along with the smooth and sensual vocals of JC Sol and Jason Simmons are sure to conjure up emotions only felt deep inside our psyches. The soulful refrain of “I Can’t Do Without You” rings out like a cry in the night and the catchy chorus of “Calln’ Out, Loud and Clear, Can you Hear the Love Sound” captures the essence of love that’s desperate to be reunited. This track is sure to tug on the heartstrings of the listener in a poignant and hopeful fashion.

“I chose Jason Simmons as the other part of this heartfelt song as I felt our voices matched well”, says JC Sol. “With the combined production and arrangement of two of the best in the business, Michael Shotton and Eddie Bullen, I was thrilled with what we created from this collaboration.”.

JC goes on to praise her musical team.

On Eddie Bullen: “With more than 150 albums under his belt, Eddie Bullen’s Thunderdome Sounds Studio in Markham, Ontario is filled with memorabilia documenting the many incredible artists he's worked with for the last 30 years and his beautiful arrangement of "Callin' Out" gave me chills.. And as an added bonus, Eddie's talented son Quincy Bullen graced my track with his stunning guitar skills. Talk about a two for one package!”

On Michael Shotton: “When recording in the studio, musicians are looking to create those moments that will help their artistry shine. At his studio, located in Burlington Ontario, Producer, Drummer and Vocalist Michael Shotton provides this and more. His "High Energy" Vibe and skill in leading Vocalists and Musicians alike to this magical place are what makes him stand out as a "go to Guy". Working with Michael is always rewarding and so much fun!”

I am hoping my fans feel as good about Callin’ Out as I do when they hear it.”
