Marshall Potts is a singer/songwriter from Kamloops B.C. where he lives on 160 acres. His crossover writing style has found acceptance in the Americana, Country Rock and Rock formats. Marshall not only writes inspiring music and lyrics, he mixes in ringing, interwoven guitar lines and buoyant arena-rock beats. Combine Potts’ powerful, yet tender insistent vocals that share the experience of saving himself deliver a universal message of positivity and optimism. His music is about moving beyond your past, taking back your power, embracing the moment and living in the here and now.
Marshall Potts releases his latest effort called "Setting Sun". This song is a great example of the many roads and reflections Marshall follows when a new song appears. Written with his twin brother Mitch Potts (accomplished artist/painter and band member) once again produces a unique and powerful melody and message for the listener. Every song is its own while still keeping a unified underlying vibe shared by his songs. All Marshall's songs remind the listener that we are all unique and the same beautiful creations of a singular powerful source.
I really enjoyed writing "Setting Sun" with my brother Mitch. Like all my songs, I like to be very still and listen for the melody and lyrics to come without forcing them and this song was no different," explaines Marshall. "It really felt like a meditation or prayer and I felt a feeling of relief when it came out. That feeling of letting go and letting the Universe or God take control. It is a song of surrender after letting go of the past and perceived ego-self and allowing the end of one reality and the start of a more beautiful one."
"Setting Sun" is set to release June 30, 2024 but is available on the website here: store3.marshallpotts.com/index.php/product/setting-sun-single-download/

"In this time of great upheaval, I really hope people feel the same relief from surrendering control when they listen to it and remember that after every Storm there is Sun."
