Kitchener-Waterloo, ON-based emerging pop sensation JSJ kicks off the summer with a vibrant celebration of self-acceptance and genuine artistic expression with his new song “Free” – check it out on YouTube here:

JSJ, real name Joshua Säde James, is an emerging Canadian artist from Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. He has worked across Canada in various shows from coast to coast. JSJ began competing in talent competitions as far west as The Calgary Stampede Talent Search, to Ontario to compete in The Western Fair's Rise2Fame. Soon he travelled over to PEI to be a part of the Charlottetown Festival, to Newfoundland to play “Pepper” in Mamma Mia! Today he travels the world with Norwegian Cruise Lines performing in various shows including his self-made cabaret.

Canadian artist JSJ (Joshua Säde James) has “Gone” into an utter whirlwind of euphoria with the release of his newly minted single, and audiences shouldn’t wait to say ‘same.’

Oozing with R&B finesse, the insta-classic is an ode to the ex-lover caught in a tryst, causing lunacy for whoever is left behind in their trap. 

“This song is my ‘Cruella has entered the chat’ moment,” JSJ reveals. “It’s the Gemini's lament to love.

“‘Gone’ is a sonic roller coaster that hurls you up and down as love battles hatred.”

It’s love in the time of quar for Canadian artist Joshua Sade James and his yearning new single, “I’ll Wait For You”.

“I originally wrote this song about four months into quarantine,” James recalls. “It took me less than two hours; all of those feelings were incredibly raw at the time, so I wasn’t surprised at how quickly it flowed.

“I’m in a long-distance relationship,” he explains, “and once the borders closed, it became virtually impossible for us to meet — the only way was with the power of FaceTime. In a way, ‘I’ll Wait For You’ was written almost as a ‘swan song’ to my relationship since we didn’t — and still don’t — know when we will be able to see each other again.”

If the equation for a bop = pure fun x a bit of drama, Canadian artist Joshua Sade James and his new single “Closer” proves he’s a wizard with the formula.

“I feel like, if Twilight had a pop theme song for Bella’s mood swings between Jacob and Edward… This would be it,” the multi-talented artist explains. “I want people to start jamming out, then catch themselves saying, ‘oh, WAIT. I thought this was a happy song.’

“I wrote this song at the beginning of mine and my partner’s relationship and, over a year later, it rings more true than ever,” James shares of his personal and evolving inspiration behind the track. “Since COVID-19 restrictions shut down the borders, we haven’t seen each other in over nine months, so ‘(pushing) people out of my way to get a little bit closer’ doesn’t sound too far off.

It’s a love song gone wrong for Kitchener/Waterloo’s singer/songwriter and multi-talented artist Joshua Sade James and his new single, “All Fall Down.

Fresh from his forthcoming sophomore album release, JSJ — slated for June of this year — “All Fall Down” was written about mistrust, dishonesty, and miscommunication in a relationship. “Without these core attributes enforced by love, we… ‘All Fall Down,” he explains.

First written about three years ago, the song’s bittersweet inspiration was related to a relationship and breakup he’d had while in college. “It allowed me to do a lot of self-reflection,” he shares.  “I wrote the song after the second time we broke up, and just got to think about how truly toxic we were towards each other. “All Fall Down” serves as a preview for what’s to come from the artist’s upcoming EP, JSJ (Joshua Sade James).
