Michelle Wright has a lot to celebrate. She was the first Canadian‐born artist to have a Top Ten hit in the U.S., a #1 video on CMT‐USA and the first Canadian to win a major U.S. music industry award winning the Academy of Country Music Top New Female Vocalist award in 1992.

Michelle's career skyrocketed with the success of “Take It Like a Man” as she garnered a total of twelve music industry awards, including the 1993 Canadian Country Music Association's Fans' Choice Entertainer Of The Year award and double platinum awards for Now & Then the same year. Her success opened the door and started a path for Canadian country music artists. And now with a new song, "Everything To Me" Michelle has a chance to share with the world what finding the love of her life has meant to her.

Michelle has always expressed her feelings through her songs and music.

In 2001 she was navigating her way through a busy touring schedule, writing songs for her next studio project, and promoting her Greatest Hits Collection. The first single release from the project, “I Surrender,” was co-written by writer/producer and frequent Michelle Wright collaborator Eric Silver and received the SOCAN award as one of the year's most-performed Canadian country songs. Silver was scheduled to perform at Nashville’s famous Bluebird Café and reached out to Michelle to invite her to perform “I Surrender” with him. As the evening’s performances ended, Michelle crossed the crowded room to say hello to her label mate, Diamond Rio’s Jimmy Olander, who introduced her to his longtime friend Marco Convertino. The connection between Wright and Convertino was immediate, and as their feelings for each other grew, she expressed them in her songwriting. Co-written with Jon Michaels and the late Jimbeau Hinson, “Everything To Me” is Michelle’s love song to Marco.

The two were married in 2002, and nineteen years later, Michelle and producer Bob Funk were selecting songs for a new studio project, Milestone. “As I listened to the song, I realized after all these years that the lyrics still ring true and that it needed to be on this record. Milestone is a celebration of where my life and music have taken me; thankfully, it led me to Marco. His love for me changed my life. Our 21st wedding anniversary was April 20, and I’m releasing this song and video as my gift to him.”
