"Meet the newly born Lynx Dean. This is his first single “coming out” under his name. Speaking of coming out, this uplifting “be who you are, take your power and seize the day” song, arrives on the same day as his gender confirming surgery.

He has teamed up with Platinum award winning producer Giampaolo Pasquile (Sony Music Publishing) to create this feisty universal dance anthem to bring World Domination to the globe.

I met Lynx when he performed at Live at Heart Music Festival on Burin Peninsula in Newfoundland. I had known the name for years as Cashbox Canada had been a huge supporter of his band Random Order. We were in the lobby of the only hotel in town. After a dangerous bus ride from the airport and soaking wet from a rainstorm, checking in Lynx ran up to me and said, “One of my goals was to come to Newfoundland to meet you.” I immediately knew I was in the presence of a huge talent just by the way he carried himself and his larger than life personality. We spent time together at the festival and beyond that fact, he is truly oozing with charisma, and inside that energy is a heart and soul that beats with talent and tenacity.

We caught up with Lynx at his home in Toronto, Canada and discussed the real background behind the single release “World Domination”.

“I believe this song is my most personal song to date. It represents my literal and figurative metamorphosis while expressing unity. There's no going back! “I had a dream come true for me, I became who I was meant to be; Every step we take, every move we make, every twist of fate, we'll climb that wall and it will break".

“I actually wrote the song a few years ago at the request of a script song submission. The song didn’t make the cut, and it was put away until I recently gave it a revisit and found I still identified with the song.

Oliver Wickham (who did the original beats) and I sat down and said it still needs something else so we did a bit of rewriting and new beats. The result of it was that I still wasn't sure what was missing, so I started searching for the answer feeling strongly that this song needed to be released.”

Lynx continues, “The beauty of the availability of being online is I found exactly what and who I needed to make World Domination happen. I reached out and connected with Grammy Award Winner Milans Giampaolo Pasquile. It was instantaneous. I found the missing piece. He came up with the catch phrase “enhanced production” - then it all fell into place. We rolled the dice, ended up back at Phase One Studios and we were in the studio poetically on International Women’s Day.”

This also came at an extremely difficult time for me personally, as I was watching my mother, Susie Regis Dean, fade away from this life. After the effects of an aneurysm that happened  over two years ago, and  many strokes and relapses, I lost my mom who was my best friend, my mentor, my inspiration. Throughout all of the heartbreaking journey, “World Domination” and the music was my salvation. It got me through it all and I knew it needed to be released.”

“The lesson I have learned is to ‘Seize the power every day not just one day.”

World Domination Lynx DeanDate of release for ‘World Domination” – April 18, 2022 is  an important date that Lynx has picked to release on the same date of his hospital stay for gender affirming surgery.
