The Birdsong Kensington Sound Salon Showcase will begin May 11th 2026

Canadian charity Birdsong New Music Foundation has partnered with Kensington Sound to continue producing new Birdsong artists in Kensington Market. The collaboration brings together Birdsong’s mission-driven support for musical artists living with mental illness with Kensington Sound’s state-of-the-art production facilities.

Christmas has passed and we are off galloping into 2026 but still feeling the positive after-effect of the healing power of live new music and the belief that music can help people. We need hope in our lives, especially during our long cold Canadian winters, hence this retrospective on the Annual Christmas Concert now in its second year, from Birdsong New Music Foundation.

Tracey Savein brings an incredible eye (of the lens) capturing special moments in time. Because as the saying goes – A picture is worth a thousand words.

TORONTO, ON - Renowned comedian and actor Mae Martin, Juno Award-winning vocalist Liberty Silver, and the artists of the Birdsong New Music Foundation are set to unite for an evening of original music and holiday cheer on Sunday, December 14, 2025. This annual fundraiser, taking place at Lula Lounge, supports the production of new music created by individuals living with mental illness.

As the summer blossoms, the charity is hosting a Mid- Summer fundraiser party - in Toronto at The Duke Live, (1225 Queen St. East.) The event promises to be full of great music, dance and loving support hosted by Canadian TV personality Michael Williams and Birdsong Foundation founder Margaret Konopacki. All songs performed are original songs created by Birdsong Artists subsidized by the Birdsong Foundation.

The line-up includes Poet and artist Robert Priest, D.M. Lafortune, Dustin Harder (a.k.a. Prairie Soul), Arif Jinha, Jordan Gow, Ashley Bell, Jhmal King, Dianne Samuels (a.k.a Bird of Paradise) and Bryant Didier with the Birdsong Village Band.
