Distinguished, long-time musician Doug Kistner gathered a talented ensemble of world-class artists to create the supergroup Studio D’Lux. Joining the New Jersey singer and songwriter are legendary vocalist, Grammy Award-winning songwriter and former Chicago lead singer Bill Champlin, the iconic Billy Joel drummer Liberty DeVitto, Steely Dan guitarist Jon Herington, Elliott Randall, known for his classic ‘Reelin in the Years’ solo, Whitesnake guitarist - Joel Hoekstra and Glen Burtnik, formerly of Styx, The Orchestra, and The Weeklings.
Reminiscent of great rock bands like Chicago, The Doobie Brothers, and Steely Dan, Doug Kistner explains, “My writing style is influenced by the great music of the ’70s and ’80s, so you’re hearing that. I would say some of my approaches are getting a good sound, keeping the track exciting, and not forcing anything.”
"Slow Burn" showcases the musical prowess of Studio D'Lux, with Kistner's nimble piano skills serving as the foundation for this captivating track. Liberty DeVitto's authoritative drumming anchors the song, while Jon Herington’s mesmerizing guitar solo provides the perfect complement. Kistner's warm and charismatic vocals, combined with Champlin's soulful tone, create a harmonious and engaging listening experience that highlights the band’s unique sound.
