Music in Montion Awards 2024
Mon Oct 07, 2024

Music in Motion Canada changed the lives of many musicians. Are you next?

Calling all eager musicians and singer/songwriters who want to Fast Track their careers! Music in Motion Canada in association with EMG Collectives is proud to host their 2024 MiMc Music Awards. This competition gives undiscovered indie talent a chance to gain connections and exposure to music industry experts and opportunities. As a direct result of our 2023 event, the lives of many Canadian musicians were changed. Two of the winners were invited to perform on a festival stage in Sweden August / 2024, and our grand prize winner signed a management deal, with a worldwide release date of November 2024. Find their success stories in our inTune Magazine.

Everyone who enters will receive valuable adjudicated written feedback and a certificate of participation. Our adjudicators are top notch experts in the music industry: Award winning music producers and songwriter recording artists. The option to choose feedback for Road Ready, Media Print Ready and Grant Ready are all designed to help you gain insights, and knowledge. RAVE REVIEWS from two of our adjudicators

Music in motion is a powerful resource for nurturing new Canadian talent. It was a real privilege to hear so much creativity, and talent in these up-and-coming writers: it gave me a good feeling about the future of Canadian music. I’m happy to think that some of my experience might have helped a fellow dreamer make theirs come true.
~ THOMAS WADE, 3 X Juno Award Nominee, 7 X CCMA Winner, Songwriter, Producer

Working with MIMC was an engaging and rewarding experience because the interaction as an adjudicator is parallel to a real-life situation as both a Manager and a Record Producer. You are advising contestants on how to advance with their careers not simply judging them on a scale of 1-10 from your musical perspective. This competition is a constructive experience, not a dismissive one. Thoroughly satisfying as a professional to be able to contribute.
~ DAN McCONOMY, Producer, Label Owner
