Alya Dreaming
As a little girl, ALYA spent her nights dreaming of a love she wasn't sure she'd ever find. Now the Grammy winning, Los Angeles based pop singer has turned those dreams into "Dreaming," a sun kissed new single out now. The song is a prequel to her recent single "Believer," and both are chapters of her upcoming album 'In The Moment,' arriving in spring 2027.

The soon to be released album is an interwoven musical autobiography tracing ALYA's journey to finding love, and "Dreaming" takes the story back to where it all began. "I was always a dreamer of romance, although it wasn't nourished or encouraged in my culture," she says. "I spent many nights fantasizing about the handholding, eye-gazing, laughing-with-each-other kind of love, but I never thought it would be possible."
That longing pours into the lyrics, which glow with the wonder of a first crush coming true. "The way you look / takes my breath away," she sings, and “People happy snapping pics, of the way we blend," before the chorus drifts off with "Caught in your light like / Diamonds dancing / On waves at night." The words flowed easily. "This song, and the forthcoming album lyrically, all came so effortlessly in terms of writing, because most of it came from the diary of my mind" ALYA says.

She also created the song's groove herself, experimenting with different instruments in her home studio before recording it and sending it to producer Tim Carmon. "He was completely blown away and kept saying, you did this?'" she recalls. "Which was a great stamp of approval that this song was headed somewhere special for me."
Carmon produced the track and added keys and more, with co-producer Yeezo, who wrote the chorus with ALYA, joining her on layered backing vocals. Bassist Courtney Leonard (Beyoncé), guitarist Errol Cooney (Stevie Wonder) and Mateo Laboriel on drums and guitar give it the breezy feel of a Sunday afternoon drive along the beach with the top down. Mixed by Dexter Simmons and mastered by Dave Collins. Lastly, adding her touch to bring everything together lyrically, is Kim Rutherford.
ALYA is known for powerful vocals, cinematic storytelling and music that blends inspirational pop, soul and contemporary cinematic sounds. Her work has drawn more than 50 million views across social platforms and features in international media, and she has collaborated with Eric Clapton, Erica Campbell, and D Smoke. Her ongoing "Hope" project, including 'Hope: The Sequel,' has grown into a movement celebrating kindness, awakening and the power of collective good.

With 'In The Moment' on the way, "Dreaming" is another step into her love story diary, and a wonderful reminder that the little girl who once dreamed of romance, has a place in all of us and encourages to continue to ‘dream’, because one day, those dreams just might come into realization.
