In the early 2000s, he became known with his band Les Faux-Monnayeurs, with whom he recorded four albums and toured extensively in Canada and Europe. His first solo album, "Quelqu’un d’autre," received the Songwriter of the Year award at the Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2008. He then went on to release several projects, including the band "Hombre" (2010), which was nominated for an ADISQ award and won the title of Best Album in the World Music category at GAMIQ.

In 2015, Tomás Jensen returned to Argentina for the first time in 20 years and recorded "Retour" (released in 2016, also nominated for an ADISQ award). Documentary filmmaker Martin Bourgault accompanied him and made a film that was screened at FIFA and other documentary festivals around the world.

2020 saw the release of "Les rêves sont faits" (nominated for GAMIQ, Folk Album of the Year), the first album for which he was the sole arranger and producer, reflecting his cultural diversity and artistic freedom. Since then, he has established Studio La Maison Ronde, where he records, mixes, and produces for several artists.

At the end of 2024, he organized an exceptional tour and recorded a live album at the Lion d'Or in Montreal with his longtime accomplices to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album "Tomas Jensen & Les Faux-Monnayeurs."

Boum Boum Boum (feat. Bïa) is the first single from his upcoming album of original compostions entitled ‘À l’humain ! À la vertu!'. Boum Boum Boum is a duet featuring Brazilian artist Bïa. This gentle bossa nova, a humorous-romantic earworm, imagines a couple where samba is more important than anything else. More so than the couple... because "the rhythm of samba is natural like the water we drink; it comes from the earth and the sky at the same time."

Slated for release in the fall of 2025, 'À l’humain ! À la vertu!' (which can be translate to “To humanity! To virtue!”) will mark Tomás' return to the forefront of the musical scene. The album title 'À l’humain ! À la vertu!' comes from the lyrics of the second single Big Bro “...which carries some optimism with it…something we all need right now!" says Tomás.
